American actor Allison Brooks Janney was born November 19th, 1959. Her work on the screen as well as the stage have been highly praised throughout her entire three-decade career. Janney received numerous awards including the Academy Award and British Academy Film Award. In addition, she was awarded Seven Primetime Emmy Awards. She was also considered for nominations to win two Tony Awards. Janney was raised in Dayton, Ohio. She was born in and brought up in Boston. The award was for a study at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art following her graduation from Kenyon College. Janney became a television star in 1999 as C. J. Cregg who played the character in NBC's drama series The West Wing (1999 to the year 2006), where she won Four Primetime Emmy Awards. Janney was awarded an award called the Primetime Emmy Award in 2014 for Outstanding Actresses In Drama Series. She was awarded this award for her role as Margaret Scully in Showtime's drama Masters of Sex.
